Asahi Glass Plant

Asahi offer a wide range of chemical reactors from 300 ml bench top laboratory scale to production sizes. Options include built-in filtration, reflux distillation, concentration and many more. Aside from high quality double wall reactors Asahi offers triple wall reactors which allow wider temperature range and are more efficient. The unique Asahi baffle system dramatically improves reactor yields.

Heat transfer efficiency
Asahi triple walled reactors are fitted with a vacuum jacket and glass ring baffles. The vacuum jacket virtually eliminates all heat losses to the atmosphere allowing the process to be monitored without frost formation on the jacket for operations below freezing point. the jacket is extended over the service nozzle.

Baffle Reactor Performance Comparison

The glass ring baffles force the heat transfer fluid to circulate evenly throughout the jacket and to promote turbulent flow for efficient heat transfer. ASAHI believes that jacket temperature must be precisely controlled in order to control the process temperature. Only Asahi offers this type of technology.

Higher Process Yields
Aside from enabling faster heat up and cool down times, the glass ring baffles also ensure more consistent temperature distribution within the reactor. So called “cold spots” can have significant negative impacts on product quality and yield. Asahi reactors prevent these cold spots offering benchmark production yield and product quality.



Easy scale up
All triple walled reactors are designed to keep the Height (H) / ID (W) ratio within 1 to 1.5 for structural security, performance and easy scale-up modifications.

Minimum dead space at bottom
All Asahi reactors are designed without dead space to ensure complete drainage.

Drain Valve

The drain valve plunger is spring loaded to guarantee a leak free seal over the entire temperature range at all times. These designs meet GMP standards.
