Company History
FOM Technologies was founded in 2012, as the machinery part of the R2R material research a spin-off of Riso/DTU (Danish Technology University). In 2014 – 2016, FOM Technologies started to gain recognition, as a pioneer of cutting-edge precision machinery and equipment for slot-die coating of new functional materials, establishing a worldwide customer base.
In 2017 there was a change of ownership and new management was appointed, a new business strategy was developed, FOM pivoted to become the leading provider in slot-die coating technology for new functional materials.
Through external capital and new investors into FOM Technologies, their aim from 2020 onwards is to scale sales, distribution and their brand globally.

Slot-die heads
FOM Technologies state-of-the-art slot-die heads have been designed to provide outstanding coating properties and simple compatibility with FOM coating machines. Variable head sizes and viscosity ratings combined with flexible shim thickness and stripe pattern options provide access to a user-friendly, high-quality coating platform for a broad range of thin-film applications.
Our Research Series contains comprehensive solutions for lab-scale applications, while our Industrial Series has been developed to support pilot-scale installations and beyond. Made from some of the hardest steel in the world, our slot-die heads are the product of a world-class manufacturing process, offering low dead volume, excellent flow properties, and treatment for robust chemical resistance.
